"No more false alarms". This is the claim of the Escort Passport 9500ix. The 9500ix is an innovative design from Escort that combines GPS technology with a high performance radar detector to eliminate false alerts. You are even able to program warnings for fixed red lights, speed cameras and speed traps directly into the 9500ix.

The Escort 9500ix is equipped with the "AutoLearn" feature, which will make for a quieter and stress free driving experience. Over a period of time driving the same route to and from work or around town, the 9500ix will “learn” that a false alert is being set off and will block the frequency ensuring that a alert will only occur when there is a real speed trap.

The AutoLearn feature cross-references your location with the frequency of the signal and when it encounters the same signal in the same spot three times, it stores and blocks it out. If the location is a known hot spot for false alerts, the user can manually lock out the signal using the TrueLock feature, prior to the third pass. The longer the 9500ix is used, fewer false alarms should occur, creating a more pleasurable driving experience.

The Escort 9500ix is pre-loaded with thousands of safety camera locations, including red light and fixed positions speed cameras, located throughout North America and can also be updated using the Defender online database. The 9500ix's SpeedAlert feature will display your current speed when it provides an alert. The Escort 9500ix also offers a unique AutoVolume feature. A built-in microphone senses the ambient noise level in the vehicle and adjusts the volume level accordingly.

The Escort 9500ix is designed to integrate with the Cincinnati Microwave ZR4 Laser Defense System.

Four High-Resolution Display Modes

The Escort 9500ix features a powerful display, which has 4 possible modes:

In the standard bar graph mode, the Escort 9500ix will show one band that was detected and a bar graph representing the signal strength.
In ExpertMeter™ mode, the 9500ix can identify band and relative signal strength of up to 8 radar signals at once.
In SpecDisplay™ mode, the detector will show the band and actual frequency being detected.
In SpeedAlert mode, the detector will show the speed at which you are traveling.

The SmartCord MuteDisplay™ accessory is a unique power cord with a power-on indicator, an alert lamp that warns you of radar and laser, and a convenient mute button right on the lighter plug!
