The Garmin Rino 600 Series radio is a great companion for the outdoor adventurer! Garmin combined a rugged handheld GPS with a waterproof FRS/GMRS radio to provide the ultimate in navigation and communications while on the road or on the trail.
As a two way radio, the Garmin Rino 655t supports all 22 FRS/GMRS channels plus 8 GMRS repeater frequencies. Hands-free (VOX) use is also supported, along with a vibrate mode, 121 squelch codes and a contacts list.
As a GPS, the Rino 655t offers a high-sensitivity GPS receiver and quad helix antenna. It also features a 2.6" glove-friendly color backlit touchscreen and is loaded with a worldwide basemap with shaded relief. 4.5 GB internal memory is available for storing data from optional map software and the Rino 655t also accepts an optional microSD™ card (not included). The Rino 655t track log is capable of storing 10,000 waypoints and 200 tracks.
Like other Rino models, The 655t allows you to share your position with other Rino users, making it easy to ensure no one gets lost. In addition, the Rino 655t includes a tilt-compensated, 3-axis electronic compass and a barometric altimeter, so you will always know where you are, where ever you are.
