Midland WR-300 Weather Radio

The Midland WR-300 is one of the most advanced weather radios available. Unlike a standard weather radio, the WR-300 supports the Public Alert system and SAME technology. When a severe weather or civil emergency occurs a loud (90dB) siren will sound alerting you of danger, and a description of the alert will appear on the display. No longer do you have to monitor the NOAA weather stations yourself, the WR-300 will do it for you and pro-actively alert you to danger.

A Public Alert radio, like the Midland WR-300, is critical in areas where severe weather can occur without warning. These devices have saved many lives in areas like Tornado Alley by waking people or simply giving them enough warning time to reach a safe location. The WR-300 is an All Hazards Alert weather radio supporting the S.A.M.E. technology, which allows you to receive alerts and warnings only for your designated area. The WR-300 allows you to filter out alerts that you are not interested in, or expand your coverage area to include multiple zones.

The Midland WR-300 can also act as a normal weather radio, allowing you to monitor broadcasts from the NOAA weather service. It also provides an alarm clock with snooze, an AM/FM radio, a blue backlit display, battery backup, color coded alert light, and external antenna jack.
