Bel STi-R Concealed Radar Detector
The Bel STi-R radar detector brings the complete immunity to "radar detector detectors" (RDDs) and the features of the STi Driver to an installed model. This finally allows for a truly undetectable, stealth detector.
With the Beltronics STi-R, a powerful radar/laser antenna mounts under the hood of your vehicle. Small control and display modules and an amplified speaker can be mounted anywhere inside the vehicle. By installing these components in discrete locations, you can achieve an invisible installation.
Like the
Bel STi Driver windshield mounted detector, the STiR produces no signal leakage, meaning it cannot be detected by any current or future RDDs. Police use RDDs to locate vehicles that are using radar detectors.
The STiR also offers the same industry-best performance of the STi Driver - a model that some tests called the "World's Best". The STi-R features a Multiple Threat Display, which will let you know if multiple radar signals are detected at once, and their relative signal strength. The AutoScan feature of the STi-R eliminates the need to shift between city and highway modes, and virtually eliminates false alarms. This model also supports the detection of "POP" mode radar.
The Beltronics STi-R also provides a sophisticated high definition text display, and clear digital voice messages for easy recognition of alerts. Four brightness levels are supported, including auto-dim and a full dark mode. A tech display can also be enabled that will show you the exact frequency of the radar signal detected.

Display and Control Modules
The only parts of the Bel STi-R stealth installed radar detector that need to remain within reach of the driver are the small display and control modules, along with the external speaker. Each of these modules is 2 inches wide by 5/8 inch tall, and the speaker is 2 1/4 inches square. Any of these components can be mounted anywhere - allowing you to have a clean, discrete installation.
